As a facade metal, Corten Steel can adapt to any complex shape and even perforated with customized patterns, making it possible to use in applications through the various facade systems that Metal Experts® offers. This architectural element does not require maintenance and the application of any type of galvanized protection or anticorrosive paint is not necessary.
One Corten Steel application is its installation as a lattice or sunbreaker, as it allows for improved solar control with brackets that can be custom specified, choosing size, perforation and shape with the advantage of eliminating maintenance completely. This allows the user to keep a stable climate inside the building.

With characteristics that separate it from other metallic coatings, Corten Steel is a material that accentuates the personality of any building. Its chemical composition (a steel alloy with nickel, chromium, copper and phosphorus) allows for oxidation with special characteristics that protect the piece from atmospheric corrosion. This oxidation layer changes, acquiring different color contrasts of orange and reddish tones as time goes by. It is a highly adherent dense film that is stable, waterproof and impermeable to water vapor.
